Testing of road vehicle axles or automotive components typically employs advanced multi-axis systems that apply load vectors to the wheels or to wheel-mount adapters (virtual rims). INOVA offers a portfolio of pre-engineered and custom solutions featuring robust, reliable components, including INOVA static actuators, spherical bearings, load chains, mechanical linkages, base frames, hydraulic power units, accumulator stations, hydraulic manifolds, and temperature control units.

The system is ingeniously designed, featuring 2/4 column configurations for motorcycle testing, 4/7 setups for automotive testing, and an X-column architecture for truck testing, with compatibility for specialty vehicles like agricultural tractors. Additionally, it captures dynamic test signals recorded during real-world on-road tests in cars or motorcycles.

The INOVA axle test stand is designed for high-speed and high-acceleration operation, delivering precise control and accurate loading through INOVA's iterative control. Its ultra-low noise levels also make it ideal for testing specimen noise characteristics.

Application Scope

  • Axle Test – Each wheel (virtual wheel) supports up to 6 degrees of freedom loading; optional wheel rotation and controlled steering drive functionality available.
